Building a Stronger Road Safety Cultu...
Description
Presented in cooperation with the College of the Rockies, this workshop explains what safety culture is and how it influences safety performance. Participants engage in discussions and practical activities to learn what they can do - individually and collectively - to build a more robust road safety culture in their organization.
The presentation examines the components of safety climate and safety culture as well as the relationships among them, most importantly the interactions between safety culture and performance. Participants learn how all employees – from the CEO to individual drivers - can contribute to a safety “fabric” that acts to prevent motor vehicle crashes and the associated losses. In individual and group activities, participants explore how they can apply those ideas.
Who Should Attend
The workshop is for owners, managers, supervisors, health and safety practitioners, Joint Occupational Health and Safety committee members and others who have responsibility for making and implementing programs to keep employees safe on BC roads.
Space is limited to 24 participants so reserve your seat for this ½-day workshop.
