Presented in cooperation with the College of the Rockies, this interactive session will engage participants in conversations and exercises to help them build and implement a road safety program that fits their organization. Participants learn about the human and financial costs of motor vehicle incidents, and apply hazard identification / risk assessment procedures to prioritize road safety issues. They will use Road Safety At Work tools and resources to develop action plans aimed at preventing workplace vehicle crashes.
Who Should Attend
The workshop is for business owners, managers, supervisors, health and safety practitioners, safety committee members and others who have responsibility for making decisions and developing programs to keep employees safe on BC roads. We encourage you to send one or two representatives from your organization. We also offer participants three hours of follow-up consultation with one of our road safety specialists.
Space is limited to 24 participants so reserve your seat for this ½-day workshop. We will canvass participants before the session and use their suggestions to “customize” the workshop to focus on driving circumstances and road safety challenges in their workplaces.
