Over the last few years, Canadians have been reminded of the importance of a competitive, high-functioning life sciences sector to the health of our families, communities and our entire economy. It has brought to light the vital role it plays in determining health outcomes. Better utilization of resources, heightened adoption of health innovations, greater digitization of the system and greater regulatory agility are just some of the actions that helped us better navigate the pandemic. We must not lose sight of these successes and must build on them as we strive to improve the resilience and performance of our health systems.
Our event will feature two panels that will explore what is next for improving our health and life sciences ecosystems. The first panel will focus on what has worked and what still needs to be done to improve the performance and resilience of our health system. And the second panel will consider the strategic priorities for the federal government to ensure the life sciences sector becomes a more powerful driver of economic recovery and growth.
