2026 All Candidates Forum

October 6, 2026 (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM) (MDT)

Description

The Fernie Chamber of Commerce invites the community to attend the 2026 All Candidates Forum, an opportunity to hear directly from candidates running for Mayor and Council in the upcoming City of Fernie municipal election.

The forum is open to the public and provides candidates with an opportunity to respond to a broad range of community questions and issues, helping residents learn more about the people seeking to represent Fernie and where they stand on topics that matter to our community.

Submit a Question

Members of the public are invited to submit questions for Mayor and Council candidates in advance by emailing election@ferniechamber.com by September 30, 2026.

  • Written questions for Mayor candidates will also be accepted at the event.
  • Questions for Council candidates must be submitted in advance and will not be accepted on the evening of the forum.
  • All submitted questions will be reviewed by Fernie Chamber of Commerce Board and staff to ensure relevance, minimize duplication, and provide a balanced range of topics of interest to the community.
  •  Questions will not be shared with candidates in advance.
  • Please note that there will be no live questions from the floor during the forum.

Can't Attend?

A recorded video of the All Candidates Forum will be posted on the Fernie Chamber of Commerce website by 5PM on October 7, 2026, allowing community members who are unable to attend to watch the forum before Election Day.
