Now under new management, Elk Valley Wine & U-Brew is popping the cork on a new chapter and inviting you in on Thursday, August 20 to check out the space and get hands-on with DIY winemaking, brewing, and cider kits.

Come mingle, sip, and sample alongside fellow local businesses. This is networking with a twist you won’t want to miss.  Cheers to good company, great conversations, and a little creativity! 

Welcome to Elk Valley Wine & U-Brew!

For almost 34 years, Elk Valley Wine & U-Brew has been a part of the Fernie community. It’s a business with a lot of history, and when we learned it might be closing, we knew we had to have a conversation.

That conversation didn’t take long.

As a hard-working local family, we saw the potential and couldn’t imagine seeing such a community staple disappear. So… we jumped in with both feet. It’s been a whirlwind, but we’re incredibly excited for this new adventure and grateful for the support we’ve already received.

One of the best parts? Sharon has stayed on with us. Her years of experience are invaluable, and she’s been patiently teaching us the ins and outs of the business. We couldn’t be more thankful to have her by our side during this transition.

Whether you’re making something for your home, a wedding, an anniversary, a family reunion, or just stocking up for the months ahead, we’re here to help. We offer a great selection of wine, beer, cider, and champagne kits, with something for beginners and seasoned brewers alike.

We’re also excited to introduce our new Canadian beer line, Tundra. We can’t wait for everyone to give it a try!
